Paul makes one-of-a-kind bases from driftwood, yellow birch and burls. They are drilled and wired, sometimes mounted to a stone or finished with copper pipe. Teresa adds a lamp shade, we top it with a pine cone, twig or antler finial and you have more than a light, you have a unique conversation piece.
Taking their name from Paul’s contracting business Wooden Stone Construction, our most popular custom lamps are those that we categorize as Wooden Stone lamps. After finding what he believes is a match made in the Adirondacks, Paul methodically copes the bottom of the wood to fit its stone companion to near perfection. Wall Sconces can be made as double, triples or even quads! This piece has round, hanging fern shades on a birch bark back plate that measures approximately 10” high by 33” wide.
Whether you need a reading light over your bed, have a dimly lit stairway that needs illuminating or just want something unique to flank either side of the fireplace mantel, we have beautiful wall sconces in a many designs. This Chandelier is 36” across and 22” high with eight sides, four light sockets and hangs from antique bronze chains. Teresa has filled each panel with cedar and Paul has added yellow birch twig trim and accents. This fixture was designed by a customer who had first purchased a Rustic Lamp from us.
